The Guelph Synchronized Swim Club’s Recreational Program is a wonderful opportunity for swimmers to learn synchronized swimming skills in a fun-filled environment.

Swimmers will be introduced to the fundamental sculls, basic figures and various routine components of early synchronized swimming. Swimmers will develop skills in teamwork and enrich their strength, coordination and flexibility.

Our Recreational Program is designed and developed around the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) – Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) phases to promote healthy activity at all ages and to enhance the development of flexibility, endurance and strength in the execution of skills. Guelph’s Recreational Program follows the Synchro Ontario Trillium Awards Program, which is a step-by-step instruction and evaluation of on-deck, swimming and synchro-specific figure and routine skills. At the end of each session, swimmers will be assessed and will receive a Trillium pin and certificate upon successful completion of each level.

In addition, all swimmers will have the opportunity to perform their routines in front of parents, friends and family at our Club’s showcases.

Our recreational programs are for swimmers with no experience in synchronized swimming and returning recreational swimmers. For registration form, please download and complete our Registration Package .
