Synchro Swim Ontario Trillium Awards Program

The Trillium Awards Program was developed to serve the interests of participants across the province of Ontario.  It is a ten (10) level graduated skill development program aligned with the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) – Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) phase “Learn to Train”.  It is positioned as a thorough, well balanced synchronized swimming program.

Our mission is to develop and promote synchronized swimming by providing an opportunity for enjoyment and enabling all swimmers to achieve their individual goals.

Training includes 10 capabilities:

Level 1:

  • front layout position

Level 2:

  • barrel scull
  • whip kick wit board
  • back crawl
  • back layout to extended back layout
  • sailboat alternate
  • back pike somersault

  • stamina: front crawl (timed)
  • suppleness: flexibility exercises & right and left split hold

Level 3:

  • propeller
  • breast stroke
  • reverse propeller
  • front pike pulldown
  • flamingo position (right and left)
  • eggbeater stationary
  • underwater
  • stamina: front crawl (timed)
  • suppleness: flexibility exercises & right and left split hold

Level 4:

  • paddle scull
  • split scull (horizontal)
  • front pike somersault
  • side eggbeater (right & left)
  • ballet leg single (right & left)
  • support scull on wall

  • speed: sprint front flutter (timed)
  • suppleness: split position in-water & right and left split test on land

  • butterfly kick (front & back)

  • bent knee vertical position (right & left)
